I installed the IDES Version of SAP. Like all of us know when try to create a ABAP Program it is asking for the access key. You ask the basis guys and they create one for you. In this case I don’t have that luxary. When the basis folks create an access key it gets stored in the DEVACCESS table (userid and the developer access key). So you can enter the same when you are prompted at the time of objects developement. SInce IDES is owned in my system can I not go create a dummy key 20 dight key against the userid in DEVACCESS and use the same when prompted? if it does nont accept this as a valid key, what is the process of validation of this access key. how the system decides it as a invalid key.
If this is not a propoer place to answer my question would you send your comments to arthur.samson@gmail.com
Thanks in advance.
Alex.
